Parks & Recreation

    Located within the major metropolitan area of Miami-Dade County, residents of Bay Harbor Islands can avail themselves of almost unlimited choices of recreation and entertainment. Within the town itself, residents can also enjoy relaxing green space in two passive parks and if they have small children, a well-equipped Tot Lot playground is available. Older children can take advantage of an after-school recreation program which is held at the local elementary school and is partially funded by the Town.

    Three tennis courts are available for leisure play, private lessons, and summer tennis camps for children. The Town also provides, at no cost for its residents, evening social events twice a year with entertainment and refreshments. A Halloween Party is staged every year by the Town - organized and run by the Town's Police Department, it grows larger each year.
