Important
Solid Waste Reminders
Household
garbage (kitchen refuse, ordinary trash) is collected from the side
or rear of buildings. Garden trash (leaves, light trimmings,
fronds) which is created by the personal efforts of the property
owner or occupant must be co-mingled with your garbage and placed in
your 95 gallon containers. If a landscape service or gardener takes
care of your lawn, they are responsible for removing and disposing
of the garden trash at a waste facility outside the Town.
Bulk
Trash is considered Special Handling Trash and cannot be placed at
the curb until you have made arrangements with Town Hall.
Examples of Bulk Trash would be large amounts of owner-created
garden trash, tree limbs, items too large to be containerized,
cartons, furniture, or bulky household items. Tree limbs
larger than 3 inches in diameter must be cut to measure no more than
4 feet in length. Pick up of large appliances must be arranged
in advance by calling Town Hall at 305-866-6241.
